Love Splash

Love Splash- BabyCool!

Pink is one of the key colors of summer:  lemonade, plastic lawn flamingoes, and juicy watermelon, and strawberry ice-cream come to mind.  That’s why I chose to set off BabyCool! Love Splash warmers with a bright pink swimsuit and accessories.

I especially love the way the turquoise trim on the suit ties back to the accent color on the hearts!!

Crawling Caterpiller

Crawling Caterpiller- ByeByeBugs

I was inspired by the expression “A Walk in the Woods” when pulling this mod-ish look together. Earthy tones, a bucket hat that features insects, and ByeByeBugs your little man’s arms and legs for protection make a perfect summer outfit, and one that keeps baby comfortable.

Getting insects to BUG OFF was never easier… or CUTER!

Sea Garden

Sea Garden- BabyCool!

Protection against the sun doesn’t have to put a damper on a summer swimwear ensemble! She’ll make a splash at the beach or pool with these essentials. Don’t forget the sunscreen!

Surfs Up

Surf’s Up- BabyCool!

ORANGE CRUSH! One of my very favorite colors, orange is spectacular when set against medium blue. This ensemble, built around the BabyCool! style “Surf’s Up,” is simply too cute for words. Don’t forget a sun hat and glasses to protect baby’s face, where skin is so tender.

Lovely Lady

Lovely Lady- ByeByeBugs

Does anything else scream summer more than Sperry’s, shades, and a pair of BabyCool? I don’t think so! A fun morning on the docks or a casual day out, these items keeps your little chick polished and comfortable.

Bubbly- BabyCool! and Awesome Antics- ByeByeBugs

Neon is a popular trend this summer – so I picked Bubbly for its bright fun ruffles and paired it with a coordinating ruffle swimsuit and snorkel set. Awesome Antics looks great with a coordinating neon t-shirt and comfy draw string shorts and camo sneakers.

Jumping Spider- ByeByeBugs

I think of classic American style when I see overalls, and it’s really never too soon to get baby into a pair! Long pants in summer make perfect sense if baby will be near grassy areas or woods, where insects hide.  To keep arms protected as well, ByeByeBugs is a diaper bag essential… toss a pair into your purse or car so that if the need arises, you’ve got your baby covered.

TIP: Pull ByeByeBugs on when baby will be exposed to insects. Here, the long pants will keep legs covered, but ByeByeBugs can be put on the arms to protect while keeping baby cool.

Staff Picks: Casey C.

Casey_CurtisMy name is Casey Curtis, and I’m the Director of Ecommerce at BabyUnited. Though I’m not yet a mother, I’ve clocked some serious time with kiddos when I was a nanny in college. I had the pleasure of spending my afternoons with several wonderful children from newborn to 10 years old. I was fortunate enough to learn the value of BabyLegs early on, and when I had the opportunity to join the BabyLegs team, I couldn’t have been more excited!

Now that spring is in full swing, and summer is fast approaching, I wanted to show off a few of my favorite BabyLegs styles with great outfits from Baby Gap. It’s no secret that the vintage/retro vibe is trendy this year, and that’s definitely extended into the children’s wear arena as well. BabyLegs Spring collection has great styles that coordinate well with this trend.

Staff Picks: Lauren E.

My name is Lauren Ezzi, the Associate Marketing Manager here at BabyUnited. I’ve had a love for fashion since an early age when I insisted on wearing dresses, tunics, and leggings almost every day! So it’s only fitting that BabyLegs’ warmers are near and dear to my childhood fashion sense. Though my personal style has evolved, I still love the look for babies and kids!

Romper by OshKosh B'gosh Jelly Sandals by Gap Kids Harp by BabyLegs

Harp:

This ruffled romper is an adorable alternative to dresses and skirts, especially if your daughter loves to swing, hang, and run around the park. Pair it with our ruffled Harp legwarmers and jellies (another personal childhood wardrobe staple) and this girl is ready to take on the playground, with no worries of scraped knees!

StaffPicksMagnoliasMagnolias:

BabyLegs are not only great as an alternative to tights; they also look great with shorts! The pink shorts and white tank coordinate great with the magnolias warmer and will help keep little legs warm on chilly spring days.

Poppies:

When I was a kid you could find me in a similar outfit on any given day… if only BabyLegs were around in the 90’s! These floral warmers are adorable for spring, and add an interesting touch to a simple tunic. Pair them with a summer sandal and your little girl has the perfect spring outfit.

Staff Picks: Lauren N.

LaurenNHi there! My name is Lauren Nobile and I’m the new E-Commerce Marketing Assistant at BabyUnited. I couldn’t be more thrilled to join the BU team. Although I’m not a mother, I was once voted “Best Babysitter Ever” by the neighborhood kids in my New Jersey hometown – a title I’m still proud of. I also have plenty of friends with young nieces and nephews that I ‘m surrounded by more than I ever expected. I’ve become very familiar with the  many uses of BabyLegs since I’ve come on board and I’ve grasped why our customers are so crazy for our products – distinguished designs, comfort, accessibility, practicality; I could go on all day.

Here are my favorites picks:

1. Anchors Away

Maybe vacations spent at the Jersey Shore or my summer birthday influence my taste, but  I’m completley obsessed with anything nautical for both genders. Sail boats, anchors, variations of the color blue all give off an “Americana” feel of timelessness.  It’s a classic look that can’t go wrong – for the young and old.

2. Fan-Tastic

It’s always a win going with something crisp and simple but to make it a homerun, there needs to be a pop of color to tie it all together. The playful Mediterranean colors in Fan-Tastic work perfectly with basic aesthetics for spring and summer months.

3.  Alien-Invasion

I don’t need to tell you how fun babies are, so it’s a no brainer that fun babies like fun things. That’s one of the best parts of being around them! Cyclops aliens are not typically the cutest characters, but these legwarmers can put a goofy grin on anyone’s face.

What are your favorite styles for Spring?

Staff Picks: Spring is in the Air

My name is Rita Polidori O’Brien, and I’m VP of Licensing and Marketing at BabyUnited, BabyLegs’ parent company. As a mother of two, I’ve been a huge fan of BabyLegs even before I began working with the brand. My 10-year-old daughter Stella loves to wear BabyLegs on her arms to accessorize and punch up her outfits. Michael, my 12-year-old, wears Varsity styles on his legs UNDER his soccer shin guards to protect his skin.  All of us on staff have different practical ways to wear and use BL, and tips that we share for styling. Now that the BabyLegsBlog has re-launched, we’ll be contributing ideas on a rotating basis so we can share our favorite styles or teach you new things to try with BabyLegs.

As a first STAFF PICKS post, I wanted to focus on the best warm weather looks now that Spring has sprung… here are my favorite picks.

1. Home Run
I absolutely love Home Run BabyLegs for boys OR for girls.  Pair them with this sporty bodysuit from Target.com and your little slugger is ready for Spring Training!
2.  Surfer Chick
Splashing in the surf is lots of fun, but while baby is playing at the beach, she’s exposed to lots of sun. Cover up fashionably with Old Navy’s striped romper, and put Surfer Chick on arms/legs for UFP 50+ protection, wet or dry. BabyLegs’ BabyCool! collection is woven from a light mesh material that allows ventilation and breathes while it protects. I love the way the stripes play with the floral motif here… ALOHA!!
Old Navy Striped Romper
3.  Zippy Zebra
This is where it gets really WILD! Pair a classic summer gingham print with an animal print for an exciting look that’s as contemporary as it is CUTE! Zippy Zebra warmers protect young crawlers from scraped knees in the house or out.
